picture of Bricklayers Arms
A slice of Yorkshire in Putney, this pub regularly has three, four and occasionally five Timothy Taylor's beers on tap. This makes it a rarity indeed, but the pub is more than just a flag waver for the brewery. The Bricklayers has a rather idiosyncratic approach to décor and hanging from the ceiling we noted a sledge, ice skates and party balloons, along with an Astroturfed beer garden. There's also a real local friendly feel to the place, so don't be too alarmed if you're brought into the conversation of your fellow drinkers or your gaze is caught by a game of shove ha'penny or bar skittles. There aren't many places like this in Putney - or in London for that matter - so give it a look if you're around. Well worth it.
