picture of Ship
The Ship is a quirky little pub with an idiosyncratic (but hardly surprising), seafaring theme. It's a lively place during the week - a popular afterwork haunt for people in the area. The beer is pretty decent, with real ales on the on the hand pumps and the service friendly and attentive too. The quirky objets, hung around the place and the rosy lighting give the place a cosy ambience and there are a couple of big screens for the sport, if you're looking for that sort of thing. It is another one of those places that seems only to be open at certain, undefinable hours and never at weekends. But if it's open as you happen by, do drop in - you won't be disappointed.
