Come out of Hammersmith tube, follow main exit and directions to Charing Cross hospital. Walk down Fulham Palace Road and you'll soon find it.

From the same owners as The Bedford in Balham comes The Distillers. Like its sister pub, this one shares an emphasis on in-house pub entertainment - pretty much each night of the week there's a music or comedy night on upstairs. Does this one stand alone as a pub to seek out for its own merits though? Well, we weren't entirely convinced. There's plenty of space in the ground floor bar, and the mirrors and chandeliers add an upmarket feel to proceedings, which mark this one out from the other pubs on Fulham Palace Road. An average range of beers (Young's Bitter and London Pride) but decently kept. Somehow though, we just didn't click with this one: it just felt somewhat transient to us. However, if you're coming here for the comedy or the music (whether here or round the corner in the Hammersmith Apollo) then it'll do a job for you.
