All traces of a previous bar have been firmly eradicated in favour of a gastro-like bar that serves decent food. The clientele don't seem to mind, as it was firmly packed most of the day the last time we were in. Decent service and a wide selection of spirits don't necessarily make it a place to go if you're a beer lover, but there is Harvey's on draught and a few bottled ales behind the bar. And the outside seating area at the back is very popular in good weather, though its life as a smoking area does dominate a bit. There was a whisky promotion on last time, for Burn's Night, all put up on a whisky board. Sadly, we didn't have time to try them all - we might have missed our train. This place and is pretty welcoming. You could do far worse (and we have).
