sorry no picture of this pubAs this one's not on one of the main drags in Burford, it's not as manic as the other pubs in this village can be. It's relaxed, has plenty of seating inside and out, and serves a lovely pint of Hook Norton. As it's also a hotel, it isn't the jumping pub that you can find in the centre of the village, but it's a good place to have a conversation a pint and lunch. They have quite an extensive wine list, with choices that'll suit most palates and purses. The food's pretty good too, and on our last visit we were kept company by locals enjoying a leisurely lunch in the garden. They do what is probably the largest ploughman's we've seen in ages, incorporating local cheeses and freshly made bread - one to waddle away from.
