picture of Skinners Arms
The streets just south of the Euston Road are home to a number of solid, straightforward pubs, a fair example of which is the Skinners Arms. With its plush carpet, striped wallpaper and a surprisingly high ceiling, here's a traditional boozer which offers a decent spot to while away a couple of hours. Its regulars are drawn from the nearby offices, but expect local residents and even curious tourists popping into the sample the fare on offer. Whilst it's not a stone cold classic, the Skinners is an unpretentious pub that does a fair job in keeping its regulars - and first time visitors - happy. Those whom Greene King's beers leave cold will also find one or two guest beers on tap, and if hunger calls, the sizeable portions of standard pub grub should satisfy.
