picture of Indo
While other nearby pubs seem to appeal one or other of the various tribes that dominate this edge-of-the-City location, Indo offers one of the more refreshing and eclectic experiences. It's a long, thin place and not particularly large, so it doesn't take a lot for it to become busy - but despite this it's still a chilled-out experience; even the handful Hoxtonites and trustafarians who wandered too far from home were more or less behaving themselves. There's a very good choice of beers on tap - Budvar Dark, Konig Ludwig and Mort Subite amongst those offered - and the music is also well chosen. Wine buffs are slightly less well accommodated being offered a choice of red or white in varied quantities. The décor is simple, with rickety furniture offset against some bits of art and a few well-priced snacks (a good range of pizzas) are available to those who ask the nice people behind the bar. Suffice to say we like it here - just arrive here early (or early in the week) if you want a seat.

This review is a year old and since then Indo has if anything gone from strength to strength. I'm not sure when they started the pizza menu, but that's a big step. And it is one of those pubs which is far more pleasant after the smoking ban. Not perhaps as consistently crowded as in earlier years, but busy, atmospheric, good beer selection and a great place.
only one comment, so far on this pub - why not add your own?
