picture of Honor OakExtensively refurbished in February 2007 from its previous incarnation the St Germain's, the Honor Oak has been refitted in a bright, airy and modern manner. Large prints (some Sindy doll-inspired), comfy sofas and child-friendly facilities welcome the clientele, many of whom you feel would have been intimidated by the more boozeresque nature of the St Germain's. The Honor Oak, on our visit, seemed very well run: service for drinks and our food was prompt and friendly. A good wine list, quality continental lagers and a couple of real ales are on offer. These are early days for the Honor Oak but, on this evidence, it's a welcome addition to the drinking options in this area.
