how to find it:

Turn left out of Farringdon Station, then immediately left into Turnmill Street (by the Castle pub), then take the next right up Benjamin Street. Britton Street is the next left and the pub is half way up it your right.

No stranger to those who have an interest in good beer and good public houses, the Jerusalem Tavern is a serious contender for best pubs in London. Converted from a fabulous looking 18th Century clockmaker's shop, it's the only pub in London owned by the Suffolk-based St. Peter's brewery. As such, you will see their complete year-round range of excellent award-winning ales, both in bottles and on tap. Other drinks available tick the right boxes (lager, wine, cider) but will rarely be the usual high-street names. Food is served at lunchtime (12-3pm), and we recommend 'sausage Tuesday' in particular. The place is tiny and the only negative is that it gets seriously busy quite often. Lunchtimes and after work are predictably crowded, both inside and out on the pavement, but regulars will share a table if there are just a couple of you - overall there is a very genial atmosphere. You can also book a table in advance for a largish group. Overall, if you're lucky enough to find a free seat, the Dickensian feel of the place is perfect for a cosy winter's evening of tasty ale, warming fires and good conversation. Highly recommended.

Interesting beer selection and worth a look. Unfortunately on my visit the staff only showed any spark of enthusiasm when hounding the customers out at 11.05pm There are many better pubs in the area

Fantastic boozer. Great beer, pleasant staff and comforting food. Atmosphere very relaxing. Highly recommended
