sorry no picture of this pub
The standout feature of this hard-to-reach Mill Hill pub is certainly the beer garden. Complete with shrub borders, mature trees and a large lawn, it had the feels of a well kept back garden and spending a sunny Sunday afternoon here was very easy. It's a shame then that the punters were few and far between; considering weekend afternoons are a popular time to go to the pub, this wasn't a positive sign. There's a non-corporate feel to the place, with a comfortable, traditional interior and plenty of space. Behind the bar is a standard range of lagers, supplemented by a couple of the more popular ales and a pub grub menu on the blackboard. Service was friendly, even if it seemed rather like they had to begrudgingly drag themselves off the decked terrace at the back to serve us. Although we can't vouch for the atmosphere in the evening, a sunny weekend afternoon finds this to be a very good place to while away your time. So for the time being a two pint rating, but another trip here might change that.
