how to find it:
It's easy to find, in the centre of the town on the High Street, a short walk from Lymington Town station.
When you come across a fine looking Georgian-fronted pub, such as the Angel Inn in a place as upmarket as
Lymington, you'd expect something special, but apart from the architecture, what you get here is a fairly ordinary pub. it must be said the beer is pretty good, with a range of interesting, decently-kept ales on the hand pumps, but the overall feel leaves one wanting more. It's been updated in a totally predictable, formula manner and the formula theme carries on through the rest of the beer, wine (small measures served in little bottles) and the food. The outside space is nice on a sunny day and we'd surmise that the pub is pretty popular in summer, given its prime location in the centre of town, but we just wished it didn't play it so safe and showed a bit more pizzazz.
