how to find it:

Leave the tube and cross the road at the Pelican crossing, walk straight on a short while and cross St. Paul's Road at the crossing near the Hen and Chickens. Over the road, turn left and next right up Compton Road, walk to the end and turn left. You should see the Tower Theatre just across the road. Walk a short distance and the pub is on your left.

The Canonbury Tavern, a pub with fantastic potential ruined by terrible staff was seemingly being run into the ground by M&B and has now been closed for a few months. As a prime piece of land in an affluent area we're waiting to see if it succumbs to an ignominious future as 'luxury apartments'.
