picture of Tom CribbA small pub with a lovely tiled exterior, the Tom Cribb is hidden sufficiently behind Leicester Square that you should be able to enjoy a reasonable drink most of the time. Named after a 19th century world champion English bare-knuckle boxer who owned a pub nearby, it can fill up after the Prince of Wales Theatre empties out. Even so, it's a friendly enough place and serves a nice pint, too. Our last visit found the barmaid more prone to serving the regulars she was chatting to before other customers, but we'll give benefit of the doubt this time. A knockout pub this isn't, but it still clinches a three pint rating.
