Out of the station, head west and head down the hill towards Holland Park Avenue. Just as it becomes Holland Park Avenue you'll see Ladbroke Terrace on your right, turn right into the terrace and walk up to the junction with Ladbroke Road, turn left and you'll see the pub just down on your right, opposite the police station.

Although a pretty good pub, it's gone the gastro route and the emphasis now is definitely on the dining. However, it's still possible to pop in for a pint where you'll find the service to be pretty good and decent, well kept beer on the four hand pumps. There's also an extensive range of wines and spirits on offer - including a bunch of decent single malts - so the accompaniment and digestif are nicely taken care of. The food is pretty good too. On a warm summer's day, it should be nice to sit out the front of this place and sip your pint with a good book or a couple of mates, but everyone else in the area usually has the same idea - so you'll soon find yourself elbow-to-elbow with the braying hordes from these parts. When it's quiet, it's great, when it's not, it's not. C'est la vie.
