Although a pretty good pub, it's gone the gastro route and the emphasis now is definitely on the dining. However, it's still possible to pop in for a pint where you'll find the service to be pretty good and decent, well kept beer on the four hand pumps. There's also an extensive range of wines and spirits on offer - including a bunch of decent single malts - so the accompaniment and digestif are nicely taken care of. The food is pretty good too. On a warm summer's day, it should be nice to sit out the front of this place and sip your pint with a good book or a couple of mates, but everyone else in the area usually has the same idea - so you'll soon find yourself elbow-to-elbow with the braying hordes from these parts. When it's quiet, it's great, when it's not, it's not. C'est la vie.

good pub, food is quite pricey but very nice. It is very gastro but perfectly nice to have a drink in. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help you. It looks beautiful from the outside
