This is a gem of a pub - it's got something for everyone no matter what time or day of the week you choose to visit. It's a lively place on a Friday and Saturday nights with a mixed crowd and a real pub atmosphere. The food is okay, there's a restaurant upstairs, and the drink is excellent. There's an interesting and very well kept range of beers on the hand pumps - the regular is Harvey's and some unusual beers and old favourites make up the rest, changing pretty regularly. A great pub that's worth going out of your way for and what with the recent refurbishment to the and extension of the back room there's now more chance of getting a seat. But it does get very, very busy when
Borough Market is on (Fridays and Saturdays), with traders and visitors alike piling in.
