picture of Penderels Oak This pub was one of the first of the Wetherspoon pubs that went against the original ethos of the JDW chain and installed a Big Screen for Sky TV. Perhaps it is part of some sort of Government sponsored research into what happens when you mix together cheap, cheap drink and football fans in a confined space. If the notion appeals, give it a look. Otherwise, it's a standard after-office Wetherspoon pubs - perhaps one best utilised as somewhere to meet before heading on elsewhere.
