picture of Rack and TenterA large pub situated under an office block in the sixties development around the old London Wall. We've known this pub for quite a while now, and it's had a couple makeovers in the last few years trying to keep up with the local wine bars. And now it's been taken over by Marston's. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, as you get Marston's and Jennings beers on the pumps in addition to the lager selection and wine list, and a pretty good food selection at the same time. As you'd probably expect, the main source of punters are the surrounding office buildings, meaning it does a pretty good trade at lunch times and immediately after work. The main thing it's got going for it in the summer is the two outdoor seating areas, which are such a scarce commodity in the City. Be warned, however, that it's closed on weekends.
