how to find it:

From Warren Street: turn right out of the station and proceed down Tottenham Court Road to Howland Street and turn right again - it should be visible across the street to the left. From Goodge Street: turn left out of the station and proceed up Tottenham Court Road to Howland Street and turn left again. It is on the next corner with Whitfield Street.

For a long time the Carpenters Arms was one of the many unremarkable pubs dotted around the Tottenham Court Road area. A decent enough pub, but not one to set the pulses racing. Cue a makeover into one of M&B's unbranded pubs and this one has perked up. There's now a reinvigorated interior (M&B style), a plentiful supply of interesting drink to choose from, a good menu and a roof terrace for the warmer (and drier) days. Metamorphosing from a drab and sparsely frequented local, to a popular watering hole for the creative types who work nearby, the Carpenters Arms is certainly worth a look if you're in the area.
