This rather large Nicholson's pub ticks a lot of boxes without being a brilliant pub, but it probably meets the demands of the local workers in Canary Wharf. It's still got all the tellys it had before, decent beer with regular guests - and if you haven't tried the 'sup before you tup' scheme, it's a great way to try a beer you've never come across before. It's also near the water for a pleasant place to sit on a sunny day. We're kind of disappointed that the disco floor has gone, but it obviously wasn't working. Like a lot of places in and around the City, it's now open for 'breakfast' from 10 and, even more intriguingly, offers "sausage and ale tasting" every Wednesday. And as it's Nicholson's, you can at least expect the standard of food and drink to be pretty good. Worth popping in for one if you're in the area, or just want a sunny place to sit.
