Leave the station and head east towards the river along Redriff Road, after about ten minutes you'll see the pub over on your right (past Greenland Dock).

picture of Ship YorkA locals' pub that was here well before the latest redevelopments (looks like it's a Thirties building). This is a big place providing reasonable food and drink and decent, friendly service for its clientele. This pub is immaculate - the carpet is so clean you can eat off it and the owners (and the clientele) are obviously proud of it. The locals are friendly, the landlord and lady are very welcoming, there're are quizzes etc and the beer's pretty decent. We like this pub for all these reasons and wish we lived nearby so it could be our local.
