picture of Green Man and French Horn
The Green Man & French Horn is a refreshingly ordinary pub in an area packed with tourist traps and trendy cash-ins. There are three decent beers on the hand pumps - Adnam's Broadside and Explorer plus a guest, when we were last in. There's a reasonable wine list, a selection of other beers and spirits and plenty of cheap pub grub (mains under £8). It's a long, narrow pub, so it's quite easily filled, but, surprisingly, it's often emptier than surrounding venues. Service is prompt and polite and the atmosphere friendly - we're just surprised there aren't a lot more people in here.
