how to find it:

From Chancery Lane station head towards Holborn Circus, turn left up Leather Lane (the pedestrianised bit) and walk up through the market until you come to the pub about halfway up on your right.

A decent, well looked after, Greene King pub. All the old standards are there, Abbot and IPA among them. Its proximity to Leather Lane Market means that it does a booming business when the market's on, so you'll struggle for a seat at lunch times, but have more chance of a pew in the evening. At night its mostly locals, as the trendier types go off to their favourite bars in the area. The service at the Clock House is friendly, with things being overseen by a landlord of the old school. TVs are dotted around the place downstairs and the pub grub menu is refreshingly traditional. It does have one feature we've never seen in any other pub though: a mirrored ceiling in the shape of a clock face.
