Not a bad pub at all, especially given the area, although it's experienced a number of different guises over the years - now it's a stripped out (bare brick) modernish sort of place, There's a reasonable range of beers including Pride on the hand pumps, Guinness (of course wouldn't expect anything less in a pub called Maddigans) and more unusually Magners Irish cider on tap. Other imported produce on offer includes Irish crisps. The new management have taken the best bits of the last incarnation and improved on them. And with one of the best kebab places in London next door, our other excuse for coming to Mare Street, you'll probably find us in here more often.
