how to find it:

From Baker Street: Cross the street from the main part of the station and proceed down Baker Street until you reach Crawford Street. Turn right and the pub should be visible ahead on the left.

After couple of years closure, the Beehive reopened, a year or two ago now, as an upmarket, food-oriented boozer. Part of a small chain or restaurants, you'll find the Beehive in more restaurant guides than pub listings. However, it seems the emphasis here has swung back over the last year or so to drinking (At least that's how it appeared on our last visit). And it's expensive drink too - £4 a pint for bitter, £5.50 a pint for continental beers such as Bruges Zot and Rothaus Weissbier. The bitter was drinkable, although we felt it should have been allowed to settle a little longer and the glass could have been cleaner. Small points we know, but if you're paying a premium price, you expect premium presentation. The Rothaus Weissbier is an excellent beer, but it's almost £2 per pint cheaper elsewhere. We don't normally go on about the price of drink, but it's hard to ignore in a pub like the Beehive, where the blackboards announce wines at around £100 per bottle (with the notable exception of the 1992 Petrus which is £895 per bottle) and we know from e-mails we've received the price of booze is something of concern to visitors to the capital. Apart from price of the booze, you'll find the Beehive is pretty standard pub, somewhat (understandably) quiet, a handy haven to bypass the brouhaha of Baker Street.
