how to find it:

From Finsbury Park cross Seven Sister Road and head south down Finsbury Park / Blackstock Road. Keep going straight until the road leans right and rises. The pub is midway up the hill on your right, next to a zebra crossing. picture of Bank of Friendship
It's always a pleasure to have a drink at this venerable boozer. There are no quiz machines or one-armed bandits to spoil enjoyment of fine draught Guinness or the excellent ales on the hand pumps, so those who prefer conversation to noise will be at home here. The place has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and unlike the nearby Arsenal Tavern or Gunners pubs, is not generally frequented by beery football fans. It can still get extremely busy on match days and seems to do a fairly brisk trade at other times. The open fires are really cosy on winter days, and a nice rear terrace opens during the summer months. When you come here, just make sure Arsenal aren't playing at home.
