how to find it:
Piccadilly Circus: Take the Tower Records exit and cross Regent Street (you should see the giant billboards across the street). Turn left into Glasshouse Street and the pub is about 50 meters up on the right, at the corner of Glasshouse and Brewer Street. Oxford Circus: Take the Regent Street South exit from the tube and head down Regent Street. Just before the road curves around, you'll reach Glasshouse Street - turn left. The pub is straight ahead on the corner.

Located just off Regent Street, this one feels like it's trying to strike a balance between being a harmless tourist pub and a slightly trendy West End bar. It's more former than latter all told, with cheapish food but it still suffers from the old problem of its anti-TARDIS effect (it looks bigger on the outside than it does on the inside). As well as a choice of international bottled beers, its got decent beer after a bit of a dry spell, with Butcombe's Bitter and Shepherd Neame's Whitstable Bay two of the selections when we were in last. A smaller upstairs bar can often be a breathing space, but don't be too surprised if you find it out hired out for a private function. Not a bad effort though: it's certainly fits the bill if you're after somewhere to meet near Piccadilly Circus. You may even find yourself staying a bit longer than expected.
