picture of Auld Triangle
Formerly the Plimsoll Arms, the Auld Triangle seemingly caters predominantly to a clientele of local alcoholics. You tend to see the same faces drinking here, whether at midday or midnight. But they're a friendly enough bunch, even if some haven't quite grasped the concept of a smoking ban. This boozer is an antidote to the widespread gentrification of pubs - the interior hasn't been updated over the years and there's no food, apart from the occasional informal barbecue (in the street) during Summer. Irish music on some nights, along with incredibly cheap draft Guinness, help make this pub an entertaining throwback. Sadly though, no draft ales are on offer and you should avoid if Arsenal are playing at home, unless you're attending the game.

As one of the locals who drinks in here, I can confirm that the Guinness is indeed fantastic. Gets a bit intense on match days as it's really close to Arsenal stadium, but is very comfortable other times. Great Irish trad music every Sunday and exceellent acoustic music on the second friday of every month, and it's always free.
only one comment, so far on this pub - why not add your own?
