Tucked away near Great Portland Street tube, the Masons Arms is a solid well-kept pub worthy of a visit. The beer on the three hand pumps is excellent - Deuchar's, Pride and Spitfire, the service polite and friendly and the Thai food's pretty decent too. A variety of masonic (in an architectural sense) paraphernalia adorns the walls, and subdued orange lights create a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. And as it's off the main street, it can be a bit quieter than pubs nearby, particularly in the afternoon, although it gets its share of commuters from the local offices at quitting time.
