how to find it:

Exit Sloane Square tube and turn right. Walk past the Royal Court Theatre and turn right down Cliveden Place. From Cliveden Place, the first main road on your left is Eaton Terrace where you'll find The Antelope.

When visiting a pub in the heart of Belgravia on a Friday evening, one might be forgiven for fearing it will be a pocket-wrenching experience in a gut-squeezingly busy atmosphere. Not necessarily - in the case of The Antelope at least. This cricket obsessed pub is barely a cover-drive away from Sloane Square station yet had bar space for all-comers. But that is not for lack of quality: the choice of ales was Fullers-heavy but reasonably priced, while the highlight of the food was undoubtedly the 'sausage on a stick', coming in at a stomach-satisfying 50p per, er, stick (only for a limited time in the evening). The music was oddly out of place - we were entertained by the 80s pop selection - but it was decidedly in the background. Overall a delightful place to spend a few hours.
